My first working day will bring me to Hobart, on a hill, to be precise in the Chapel Street. Due to the time difference, it felt as if the alarm clock was ringing in the middle of the night but a cup of coffee and a delicious breakfast helped a lot. After the breakfast, my Australian colleague Michael Healy came to fetch me and we made our way to today’s property.
Today’s property has 2 EDV-rooms, which we had to check to advise for a better isolation for all connections. The first impression of the rooms suggested that I needed to do a Blower-Door Test without fog. A measurement and hypotension of -50 Pascal and an intense search I made me finally succeeded to locate the 2 main vulnerabilities.
That was only the beginning! We detected the leakages, now we have to work out the report to seal the rooms. The challenge with this is, to find a matching material which can seal the vulnerable spots properly. The biggest challenge though will be to reach the vulnerable areas as the systems engineering can’t be switched off….As you can see, we will get a lot more work to do.
I would love to show you some pictures of the beautiful Australian sunrise, but that sadly has to wait, as you may see on the other pictures, it was cloudy all day. But I’ve heard from a reliable source, that the sun is meant to shine tomorrow. Sun glasses, sun lotion and a T-shirt are ready to go.
See you tomorrow!
